Even though former Grey's Anatomy cast member Katherine Heigl has been noncommittal at best when asked about the rumor that she may be returning to the show in 2015, Camila Luddington, who plays Jo Wilson on the TV show, would be happy to have her. According to the latest gossip news updates, the 31-year-old English actress thinks that teaming up with the Knocked Up starlet would be great for Season 12, though she admits that the idea is nuts. In a related story, Heigl is also said to be considering firing her mom, Nancy, as her manager in an effort to get her career back on track.
Although Katherine Heigl has been doing her best to distance herself from the rumors that Shonda Rhimes might be inviting her back for the new season of Grey's Anatomy, at least one of her potential cast mates seems absolutely stoked at the possibilities.
During a recent interview with TV Line, Camila Luddington explained that while the concept of having Heigl return after such a long break seemed mind-blowing, she would love nothing more than to have Izzie Stephens back on the set of Grey Anatomy (via JustJared):
"That would be a lot of drama. I'm not against anything that would make for a good storyline. I'm really not.
"Her coming back would be nuts because there's a lot of issues there and the eggs which you mentioned, that Izzie and Alex [played by Justin Chambers] have together...I've asked we have yet to receive an answer as to whether [my character] knows about that.
"So that could be a big issue."
Regardless of whether or not Katherine Heigl makes an appearance on this season of Grey's, plenty of folks in the industry seemed convinced that her career won't really have a chance to go anywhere until she replaces her manager-mom, Nancy, for a more qualified representative.
One of the sources in the latest July 27, issue of OK! Magazine explains that while Katherine, still loves her mother very much, she is starting to wonder if her the state of her business affairs wouldn't be a lot better off if she had someone with real Hollywood experience actually calling the shots for her:
"Nancy isn't a producer or really even a manager, something she admits herself...but she thinks she has the right to make the decisions, and she's angered a lot of people in the process.
"Katherine] is very close to her mom, but she knows she needs to salvage what remains of her career with someone else."
Let's hope that if Katherine does get a new manger that their first move is to get her back on Grey's Anatomy where she belongs.
