Now that Mariah Carey's career seems to be back on track with the "Hero" diva currently in Las Vegas for her highly anticipated Infinity tour residency, it looks like her personal life if on the rebound as well. According to the latest gossip news updates, Nick Cannon's soon to be ex-wife is already dating Australian billionaire, James Packer. In an even more interesting turn of events, it's also rumored that Mariah may soon be joining her husband in the cast of America's Got Talent as well.
While Nick Cannon has been linked to a at least half a dozen different girls since first announcing his split to Mariah Carey, his iconic R&B singing wife has seemingly remained 100 percent single until now.
Over the past week or so everyone has been reporting that Mariah has been spending a lot fo time cozying up to Australian billionaire, James Packer, who was said to also be dating the recently divorced Miranda Kerr earlier in the year.
The source the E! News spoke to insisted that while they were not ready to exchange wedding vows just yet, James and Mariah were falling fast for one another:
"They are not talking marriage. That's ridiculous. She's enjoying his company, but she's also trying to remain cautious.
"She hasn't 100 percent let him in yet."
According to the informant, both Carey and Packer have giddily been telling their family and friends just how excited they are to be seeing one another:
"James has been speaking to his family and friends back in Australia allot about Mariah.
"This is just the beginning of their relationship and they are both excited about what possibly can be ahead for them in the future.
"Mariah friends and family just want her to be happy and feel special again."
For his part, Nick Cannon seems to be excited that his ex-wife finally has someone new in her life and reportedly isn't holding it against her behind-the-scenes at America's Got Talent either.
One secret source reveals in the July 6, issue of Life & Style magazine Nick was more or less given veto power over the decision to potentially bring Mariah on board the NBC primetime hit but seemed to genuinely be happy to potentially work with her on the show:
"They want to tap Mariah to fill in just in case Mel B needs some time off.
"[Nick] shocked everyone when he said it was a great idea...[and] Mariah has made it clear that she would go for it if the scheduling worked out."
Who knows -- if everything works out maybe Nick will soon add Mariah as a co-host on Wild N' Out to boot.
