It looks like things might finally be turning around for Mariah Carey's lagging career. According to the latest gossip news updates, even Game of War's old spokeswoman, Kate Upton, is giving the "Hero" singer two thumbs up for landing the new videogame ad campaign so soon after starting her 2015 Las Vegas Infinity tour. Things aren't going too poorly for Mariah's soon-to-be ex-husband, Nick Cannon, either. Despite their divorce, the America's Got Talent host is more popular than ever. Word has it that the recent return of his hit TV show, Wild N' Out, to MTV2 earned the channel its highest ratings in the network's history.
Not one to hold a grudge or even have enough time to really care, Sport's Illustrated swimsuit model, Kate Upton, doesn't mind Mariah Carey replacing her as God of War's new spokeswoman one bit.
When a TMZ camera man asked Justin Verlander's girlfriend if she thought of Mariah Carey as a good casting choice for the videogame as campaign, she had nothing but nice things to say about the aging diva:
"I think she's going to be awesome...yeah."
That being said an insider in Mariah's camp reveals in the June 29, issue of Star magazine that Carey's certainly isn't in Kate Upton kind of shape:
"Instead of just working out or buying new clothes, Mariah is wearing multiple layers of Spanx.
"It's ridiculous, but no one wants to rick ticking Mariah off!"
While Mariah Carey is struggling to remain relevant, her husband, Nick Cannon, still seems to be experiencing a growth in his overall popularity.
According to entertainment website, The Wrap, his Season 7 debut episode of Wild N' Out brought in more viewers to MTV2 than they had ever had before:
"The cable channel scored its highest-rated day ever -- in a near-20-year-history -- on Wednesday
"Much of that milestone is thanks to Cannon's improv comedy series, which debuted to a 1.3 rating in the key demo across two new episodes.
"The premiere hour had 1.2 million total viewers; a rerun hour immediately following added another million. The total day hauled in 2.1 million demo viewers, with 4.4 million total viewers."
Let's hope that, perhaps, Nick Cannon is able to give Mariah Carey a little bit of career advice after they final are able to work through their divorce.
