Despite their constant gushing over each other in public interviews, word has it that secretly engaged Charlize Theron is still very reluctant to get married to Mystic River Oscar winner Sean Penn. According to the latest gossip news updates, her Gunman boyfriend isn't taking the Mad Max beauty's cold feet personally and has even moved forward on selling his home in Malibu to get something more kid friendly for the Monster actress' young son, Jackson. Theron recently admitted that she and Sean had some problems working together on the set of the Last Face down in South Africa, but their relationship is said to be doing better than ever now -- just as long as no one brings up any talk about a wedding.
In just about every interview they give nowadays Sean Penn and Charlize Theron seem to awkwardly be talking about how much they love one another, but behind-the-scenes the svelte South African beauty is said to turn into a nervous Nellie every time the issue of planning a wedding comes to the forefront of any conversation.
One source claiming to have the inside scoop explained to Life & Style that Charlize is head-over-heels in love with Penn, but the idea of getting married -- even to the love of her life -- absolutely scares her to death:
"Charlize is afraid a piece of paper will ruin everything."
According to the informant, Charlize's, Gerda, mom is trying to convince her daughter that waiting to take things to the next level for too long can have a detrimental effect on the health of a relationship:
"She's never been married and she's not only getting pressure from Sean, but from her mother, Gerda, too.
"Gerda thinks this is exactly like her relationship with her ex-boyfriend Stuart Townsend all over again... They would get close, make some plans, but Charlize could never go through with it."
Whether Charlize Theron actually has an aversion to marriage of not, Sean Penn seems to steadily be moving forward with his plan to move in with the Theron and her son Jackson on a permanent basis -- selling the home in Malibu that he bought just after splitting up with ex-wife Robin Wright.
The experts at Forbes life explain that Penn's bachelor pad made perfect sense as a safe place to get over a painful divorce, but it doesn't really work as a safe home for Charlize's young son, Jackson:
"Times have changed for the actor and activist. It looks as if his relationship with Charlize Theron has finally prompted Penn to make a housing switch.
"It looks as though baby-proofing the pool wasn't enough to make the property perfect for Theron and her young son."
And remember if the $6.55 million price tag doesn't seem extravagant enough, Patrick Dempsey is always selling his place just down the road for $14.5.
