At this very moment there are contradicting reports that Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen are have either joined the Netflix reboot of Fuller House, are seriously considering their return or have already retired from acting all together. According to the latest gossip news updates, the Full House twins are liable to do anything from direct the series to cancel the project. Regardless of all the speculation, it is true however, that fashion moguls did unofficially put acting behind them way back in 2012, whether John Stamos and the gang remembers it or not.
Ever since the Olsen Twins seemingly balked at the question of whether they planned to return to Netflix new Full House spin-off Fuller House, the internet gossip hounds and supermarket tabloids alike have not been able to come to a consensus on Mary Kate and Ashley's actually plans.
The secret source that spoke to Hollywood Life earlier in the week explained that it wasn't exactly set in stone just yet, but the twins were definitely considering pretending to be Michelle Tanner one last time:
"Nothing has been signed yet but they are considering doing it.
"And if they do it then it would be a one shot deal, they wouldn't be in the show on a consistent basis. But currently talks are going well."
The informant the Life & Style reference in their latest June 1, issue claims that everyone has already given all the necessary greenlights, however, and the girls are finally on board, once and for all:
"They figured it would be a good break from their usual work routine to go and join their old cast members...they are both going to join in the reunion in some capacity.
While the news that his little TV nieces were finally going to join the cast would make all John Stamos executive producer dreams come true in addition to making him love the girls all the more for it, Fox News is reporting, that for now, it's just not in the cards:
"Despite reports claiming that the twins have agreed to do the reboot, they have not signed on for the show at this point.
"Rumors that Mary-Kate and Ashely Olsen were confirmed to appear on the show were false."
The fair and balanced so-and-so's at Fox also note that in an Elle magazine interview from 2012, that both Mary Kate and Ashley sounded as though they had already made the decision never to return to Full House of any other projectm for that matter, where they would be required to get in front of the camera:
Ashley: "It doesn't mean I'm not interested in Hollywood. I like the way it operates, I like the people who are involved and the sense of possibility. But if I ever get back in, it's not going to be as an actress."
Mary-Kate: "It just felt right to move away."
Try as they might to hold out hope, it seems that Mary-Kate and Ashley decided that they had filmed their last episode of Full House a very long time ago.
