Peyton Manning Sings Johnny Cash at Fundraiser, Gets Tom Brady Deflategate Q's

Peyton Manning is a man of the people, and he won't let us forget that. Even though he has won the Super Bowl with the Indianapolis Colts, been a five-time MVP of the league, and hosted Saturday Night Live, Manning still thinks he is just a regular Joe. Every offseason the Denver Broncos quarterback throws a fundraiser in which he channels country legend Johnny Cash by singing one of his songs. But this offseason has been a little different, with the constant questions about Deflategate he has somewhat dodged.

Manning was recently hosting the Celebration of Caring Fundraiser in Indianapolis. He demonstrated just how mid-America he really is, by conjuring up some Johnny Cash spirit. NESN tells of the fun had during the festivities:

"...country music superstar Dierks Bentley was on hand to provide the entertainment. At one point during the evening, Manning joined Bentley on stage to sing along with Bentley as the duo covered the Johnny Cash hit 'Folsom Prison Blues.'"

Manning was also questioned about Tom Brady and the Deflategate scandal surrounding the New England Patriots and the NFL while he was in Indianapolis at the fundraiser. Manning and Brady have been friends for some time now, with the two being the most successful quarterbacks of recent history. Even with the friendship between the two, Manning let it be known that he had no idea what was going on in Foxborough. USA Today For The Win was able to get his take on the controversy:

"Like I said, I'll speak it as clearly and slowly as I can. [Brady is] my friend, he'll always be my friend. I don't know what happened, I don't have much more than that for you."

He also added a sly remark about not understanding how the inflation levels of footballs work:

"I went to Tennessee, I can't give you that much information. A man's got to know his limitations."

See, Manning really is one of us.

What do you think of Manning and his offseason so far? Do you believe his words on the Deflategate scandal? Tell us what you think.
