Peyton Manning Trade Rumors: Returning to Denver Next Season, Tom "Deflategate" Brady Reaches Out to QB

Peyton Manning is easily one of the top quarterbacks in the NFL. Broncos' fans had reason to worry when rumors surfaced that Manning might not be returning to the Broncos next season. Well, you Peyton lovers can sleep a little easier tonight, because one of Manning's fellow players, Emmanuel Sanders, recently claimed that Peyton is staying put. Peyton also recently made headlines after Tom Brady reached out to his fellow quarterback for support in the deflategate scandal.

Whenever an athlete reaches Manning's level of success, he/she tends to have a huge following. Manning is no exception.

Denver fans and lovers of the NFL, in general, tend to keep up with the sport's top performers. In turn, not a sliver of information goes unnoticed.

So, when whistleblowers asserted that Payton was leaving, the news perked up everyone's ears.

Obviously, Denver loyalists where shaking in their boots, while fans of other teams were hopeful of what the future might hold. Now, however, those reports have been rebutted. According to the NFL, Emmanuel Sanders firmly believes that #18 is staying put:

"Emmanuel Sanders said last offseason he had made it to 'receiver heaven' after linking up with Peyton Manning and the Denver Broncos. Since the season ended, the Broncos' coaching staff has been overhauled, and Manning's return remains a question. However, Sanders isn't fretting about the future despite his success in Adam Gase's offense last year. [He said,] 'Well, Gase is definitely in Chicago right now," Sanders said. "And Peyton says he's going to come back, but I'm not really worried about it...'"

Even though the Broncos were knocked out of the playoffs, that has not stopped Peyton from making breaking news. According to The Denver Post, the superstar was pulled into the ongoing ball-deflating controversy:

"For Tom Brady, the feel and size of the football came into focus long before Deflategate. Brady joined forces with Peyton Manning in 2006, successfully convincing the NFL to allow visiting teams to provide footballs for their offense...[Now] Brady sought Manning's help because he felt a change by the competition committee would be advantageous for quarterbacks since most have specific preferences for how they like the football."
