Peyton Manning may still be a Denver Bronco, but he will always have ties to Indianapolis. April 26 the veteran QB returned to the place he called home for 14 years. But he's not returning to the Colts. Manning was attending the 7th annual gala for the Peyton Manning Children's Hospital and while he was there he surprised the audience by getting onstage to sing a Johnny Cash tune with country star Jake Owen.
Owen and Manning teamed up to perform the classic "Folsom Prison Blues". Manning held his own, although, he looked a little stiff. But hey, as a country music singer, he makes a great quarterback!

While Manning is a Bronco through and through, he has maintained ties to Indianapolis that will last a lifetime (via Yahoo Sports):
"This was the seventh annual gala, held to support the Peyton Manning Children's Hospital in Indianapolis. And although Manning has moved on from the city professionally, he'll remain connected personally.
"'I hope to have this connection to this city and this community forever,' Manning said at the event. 'I have just unbelievable memories here and a lot of ties here but this association with the children's hospital is one that I'm just honored to be a part of.'"
All the love and camaraderie won't stop Manning from preparing to beat the Colt's at Denver's season opener in the fall, though (via Bleacher Report):
"...The Denver quarterback has been hitting the gym with a vengeance in anticipation of Denver's regular season opener against the Colts in September.
"Manning says he headed straight to the weight room upon learning that the Broncos will kick off the 2014 season with a nationally televised rematch against Andrew Luck and company.
"'It's a tough schedule... They're a good team, and they were right there at the end and we know they'll be an excellent opponent.'"
What do you think? How would you rate Peyton's performance? Will Denver come out of the gate with a big win against Indianapolis?
