Tonight’s A&E’s Psycho prequel Bates Motel is all new with another killer episode. It has recently been rumored that Norman Bates himself, Freddie Highmore, could be cast in the upcoming Disney/Sony Spider-Man and Avengers crossover, Captain American 3: Civil War, as the Webslinger. However, it has also been rumored that former Community star and Childish Gambino rapper, Donald Glover could also be up for the role.
The official plot synopsis for tonight’s all new episode of Bates Motel, titled “Persuasion,” reads:
“As Norman grows closer to Emma, he starts grow apart from Norma; Norma balks when Romero asks Norman some tough questions; and Romero meets his competition for reelections.”
Recently,Freddie Highmore opened up to IGN about the possibility of playing Spider-Man in the upcoming reboot/Avengers crossover:
"Obviously I would love to be considered.That would be fantastic. I guess we'll just see how things go."
However, Donald Glover is also in the running for the role. Glover recnetly appeared on Today where he was asked if he was going to be the new Spider-Man in the Marvel’s Disney/Sony deal, where he said:
"I can't say I'm the next Spider-Man.. I can't say that[I’m not] either. I mean, it's not out yet."
However, Glover did confirm that he was in talks to play the role, adding:
"There's been talkings about it...I mean, I'd be honored to play it. It's really not up to me….”
