Former Community star Donald Glover has been very busy since leaving the show. Not only did he make some beautiful music under the name Childish Gambino, he also landed some big roles in films like Magic Mike 2: XX*-L and The Lazarus Effect. Now, Glover is rumored to be in the running to play Spider-Man in the upcoming Disney Sony crossover deal including Captain America 3: Civil War and Avengers 3: Infinity War. Glover already provides the voice for Miles Morales, the Ultimate Spider-Man in the Disney XD animated series of the same name. However, rumor has it that
Miles Morales appears in tonight’s all new episode of Ultimate Spider-Man: Web Warriors. The official plot synopsis for the all new episode, titled “The Spider-Verse: Part Three,” reads:
“Part 3 of 4. Spider-Man chases Goblin through a portal to Medieval York where he meets Spyder-Knight and then to a parallel universe where Peter Parker has died and a 13-year-old Miles Morales is now Spider-Man.”
Recently, Donald appeared on Today where he was asked if he was going to be the new Spider-Man in the Marvel’s Disney/Sony deal, where he said:
"I can't say I'm the next Spider-Man.. I can't say that[I’m not] either. I mean, it's not out yet."
However, Glover did confirm that he was in talks to play the role, adding:
"There's been talkings about it...I mean, I'd be honored to play it. It's really not up to me….”
