Comedian Claims Pete Carroll INTENTIONALLY Snubbed Marshawn Lynch In Super Bowl XLIX

The Seattle Seahawks have really proven themselves over the last few years. In turn, some of team's key players like Russell Wilson, Marshawn Lynch and Pete Carroll have earned a lot of popularity. In recent news, it has been speculated that Pete Carroll actually snubbed Lynch on the last play of the Super Bowl, because of his consistent trouble making. This is hard to believe, because Carroll is known for his long list of accomplishments, not for a backbiting attitude.

The Buffalo Bills brought up Marshawn during the first round of the 2007 NFL Draft. Since then, he has made a name for himself with his overall effectiveness and his disrespect of authority.

However, is that enough of a grounds to show him the ultimate snub in the biggest game of the year? Based on a report by TMZ Sports, one popular comedian seems to think so:

"Pete Carroll deliberately called a pass play at the end of the Super Bowl to stick it to Marshawn Lynch for being a thorn in the NFL's side...this is according to Mike Epps. The comic is dead serious...told Larry King Now he believes the Seattle Seahawks organization wanted to take the ball away from Lynch at the end of the game because they didn't want him to get the glory. 'They didn't want Lynch to get the MVP. They wanted Russell Wilson to get it.'"

To some, this is a completely logical explanation. To others, however, it is only an extension of the blame game. Plus, this overall analysis provided by TV Guide suggests that Carroll is too focused on overall success to worry about petty feuds:

"In his tenure at USC, the Trojans won 7 straight Pac-10 titles, made 7consecutive appearances in BCS bowl games (winning 6), had 7 11-win seasons, finished in the top 4 of the AP rankings 7 times, and won 34 straight games in a stretch from 2003 to '05...Among many charitable causes, he helped start A Better LA, an organization that helps deter gang violence in urban areas."
