Rosie O’Donnell Quits ‘The View’ Cast after Wife Michelle Rounds Split [HEART ATTACK NEWS]

Without wasting any time Rosie O'Donnell announced Thursday on The View that she was quitting the ABC TV show following that very taping. According to the latest gossip news updates, the 'Heartfelt Stand Up' performer isn't citing the new cast's sagging rating or ever her divorce from wife Michelle Rounds as the reason for her retiring in such a hurry -- she is blaming her heart. The 52-year-old comedienne claims that all the stress from the show is jeopardizing her recovery from a heart attack she had 2-years ago. While O'Donnell has doubtlessly been under a lot of stress since joining her co-hosts, Rosie Perez, Whoopi Goldberg and Nicole Wallace, on the air 5-days a week it hardly explains the suddenness of her departure.

Rosie O'Donnell has once again left The View under fairly suspicious circumstances, but this time around Rosie claims that it has nothing to do with the people she worked with on the show (via NY Daily News):

"I just want to say thank you to all the cast here and the crew and mostly to Barbara Walters.

"And I want to thank her for making this show and letting me be on it twice."

A behind-the-scenes source from The View claims in the February 23, issue of Star Magazine that Rosie wasn't fooling anyone by acting like she actually enjoyed working with everyone:

"Rosie is an absolute control freak.

"She couldn't handle that Whoopi Goldberg got to be moderator when Barbara Walters left, and there's been tensions between them since day one.

"She could never understand that this wasn't The Rosie O'Donnell Show!"

Despite the fact the O'Donnell leaving in just a hurry seems to bely issues much deeper than just growing health concerns, Rosie insists that her motivations for leaving the series is purely medical and nothing more (via NY Daily News):

"Stress is very bad for heart attack survivors.

"You should minimize your stress, maximize your exercise and control your diet.

"That's what you need to do for a healthy heart.

"So that's what I'm doing...I'm minimizing my stress by leaving The View."

It's just strange because you would think that Rosie O'Donnell would have remembered she had a heart attack two-years ago before she signed up co-host The View.
