With all that has been going on at The View in recent weeks, it really isn't any wonder that a naturally high-strung Rosie O'Donnell is supposedly taking the stresses of the TV show home with her, but word has it, it's having a terribly detrimental effect on her marriage to Michelle Rounds. According to the latest gossip news updates, the day time talk show host is taking her frustration with Whoopi Goldberg out on her wife, who is consequently considering a divorce. This news comes hot on the heels of the recent report that the producers at ABC have cancelled plans to fire Rosie Perez, after the media leaked the news first.
Returning to the set of The View was bound to bring so new stresses into Rosie O'Donnell's life, but it may turn out to be too much for her poor wife, Michelle Rounds, to take.
One source who claims to be close to the couple insists in the February 2 National Enquirer that Michelle is quickly coming to terms with the fact that she might not be able to live with Rosie, now that she has returned to grind of filming a show almost every day of the week:
"You can imagine how it must be at home for poor Michelle.
"Living with Rosie before The View was no picnic.
"Rosie has long battled depression and she is prone to screaming fits.
"The pressure she's been under on the show has left her coming apart at the seams...I think it is only a matter of time before [Michelle] pulls the plug on their marriage."
At least, Rosie O's on-air bestie, Rosie Perez is all set to return to the show at the beginning of February, despite the countless reports that she had been fired due to the series sluggish ratings.
An ABC spokesman told Variety that regardless of the rapant rumors floating around on the internet and elsewhere, Perez is 100 percent returning to the show when she finishes rehearsals for Larry David's Broadway play:
"These unnamed sources are wrong.
"As was always the plan, the amazingly talented Rosie Perez took time off to rehearse for her Broadway play.
"We're eagerly looking forward to having her back on February 3rd. Any speculation to the contrary is simply untrue."
Well, maybe if ABC had gotten the word out sooner it would have been enough to save Rosie O'Donnell's supposedly snowflake-fragile marriage.
