Rapper 2 Chainz's net worth took a tumble when he visited California. The lyricist was first robbed in San Francisco, then arrested at LAX in Los Angeles.
News broke this morning that Tauheed Epps, 2 Chainz's Christian name, was arrested at one of the country's largest international airports. But why?
According to official reports, it was drugs. Mr. Epps was charged with possession of marijuana and promethazine.
Promethazine is a non-narcotic motion sickness pill, so it is unclear as to why this was confiscated. More than likely, police simply did not know what the "drug" was or the prescription was not in his name.
Money and drugs aren't the only thing the rapper is losing--Mr. Epps is seeing a significant decline in his street cred as well.
The discovery that he uses motion sickness pills isn't the only reason people are questioning his thugness.
As Classicalite previously reported on Sunday:
"It turns out [2 Chainz] and his entire crew were robbed at gunpoint, during the middle of the day. San Francisco police responding to reports of gunfire at 4:30 p.m. were reportedly uncooperative.
Mr. Epps insisted that only his wallet had been stolen and told police that he would handle the situation himself. Because that's not how things work outside of a rap video, the police continued their investigation.
When police reviewed the evidence, it was confirmed that Mr. Epps was the intended target. When guns were drawn, Epps' five-member posse 'scattered like cockroaches,' according to official reports."
Hopefully, next week will be better for the struggling gangster.
