UFC Jon Jones Denies Cocaine Addiction After Leaving Rehab In One Day [UPDATE]

Jon Jones is known for being completely dominant in the octagon. However, reports recently surfaced that state Jones tested positive for cocaine before his fight with Daniel Cormier. Now, the fighter has finally addressed the situation, and he claims that he doesn't use coke often, and he isn't addicted to the substance. Interestingly, though, it was also revealed that he left rehab after only one day.

Before his career in the UFC, Jones was a stand-out high school wrestler and state champion at Union-Endicott High School in New York. He also fought in the Ultimate Fighter, and even though he was technically disqualified from that match, he still showed great skill.

At UFC 128, Jones defeated Rua, and became the youngest Light Heavyweight Champion to ever hold the belt. Throughout his career, he worked his way up the ladder and earned himself the official ranking of #1 Pound for Pound fighter in the world.

However, fans of the champ recently received some disturbing news.

Jon Jones tested positive for cocaine. Now, according to TMZ Sports, Jones has addressed the situation, and claimed that he doesn't have a drug problem:

"UFC champ Jon Jones is finally speaking out about his positive cocaine test ... saying he's NOT a cocaine addict...or even a frequent user...but admits he made a 'really dumb decision.' [He said,] 'I think a coward would sit here and try to I'm not gonna blame my friends. I'm not gonna blame come up with this elaborate reason...or try to blame something...pressure or stress. I'm not gonna blame anything...but what I will say is that I messed up.'"

For some, it may be reassuring to learn that Jones may still be the fighter we all have come to know and love. However, for others, doubt and worry still nags at the back of their minds.

This could be due in part to, according to Fox Sports, the champ leaving rehab after only one day:

"UFC light heavyweight champion Jon Jones entered rehab last week after it was revealed that he tested positive for a substance found in cocaine prior to his fight against Daniel Cormier at UFC 182, but it seems his stint in the program lasted for only one night. According to Jones' mother, [he] checked himself into rehab...and exited the facility one day later."

So, can Jones be believed? Can fans trust someone who doesn't even stay in rehab for more than a day? Did he leave because he really doesn't have a problem? Or, is there a less admirable reason? Let us know what you think in the comment section below
