Carrie Underwood thinks a few things in her marriage to Mike Fisher are going to have to change once her baby bump becomes a real boy. According to the latest gossip news updates, the country music maven is making her husband promise that from now on all their holidays will be special, despite their crazy schedules. The "Something in the Water" singer says she is tired of their work interfering with what should be family time. While Carrie Underwood is often called on by peers like Miranda Lambert and Brad Paisley to collaborate on an album, Carrie says she really like working with artists outside of Nashville. During a recent concert to benefit cancer research Underwood spoke of her opportunity to work with Beyoncé and Rihanna "really special and amazing".
Carrie Underwood knows that she doesn't readily come to mind when folks free associate about old school crooners or metal bands, but that doesn't mean the American Idol winner doesn't love working with those sort of celebrities whenever given the chance.
Underwood told Billboard that even though she liked working with country artist like Willie Nelson and Miranda Lambert, she was really surprised by how much she enjoyed working with artists outside her genre during charity events:
"I also got to do some stuff that was kind of unexpected...I got to sing with Steven Tyler, Tony Bennett.
"I got to be part of Stand Up To Cancer with Beyoncé and Rihanna.
"It's cool to see the appreciation that artists outside of country music have for country music.
"I feel so honored to sing with them, and they feel so honored to be in the country music world as well."
While Carrie enjoys going out on the road and working with other artists, the mother-to-be is a little tired of having to sacrifice her family time for her career.
During a recent interview with CMT, Underwood explained that after the baby is born Christmas and the like with Mike are going to have change, regardless of how hectic their schedules are during the holiday season:
"Right now, my schedule and my husband's hockey schedule kind of dictate our holidays.
"I told him recently, 'You know, I'm really tired of skipping holidays.'
"So from this moment on, I think it's just so important no matter where we are or what we're doing, we have to make it special."
One might think that Carrie Underwood is all you really need to have a very special holiday season.
