'Guardians of the Galaxy' Dave Batista Returning to WrestleMania? WWE Proves it Can Happen

Dave Batista is a six-time World Champion in the WWE. Unfortunately, he left the organization to pursue a career in acting, but since the moment he left, fans have suggested the legend would return. Now, these same rumors have resurfaced, and the excitement is understandable. These kinds of returns have happened before, when the Rock re-entered the ring to take down John Cena.

Batista is now 46 years old and is considered to be a professional wrestler, mixed martial artist and rising actor.

In his career, he has won the World Heavyweight Championship four times and the WWE Championship twice. Also, he has won the World Tag Team Championship three times.

Impressively, he is the longest-reigning Heavyweight champion in WWE history. In addition, his new movie Guardians of the Galaxy blew the doors off the box office. According to Bleacher Report, it is unclear if the movie's success will dissuade Batista from returning to wrestling:

"Following the success of Dave Batista's film Guardians of the Galaxy-it has made a staggering $314 million domestically since its release on August 1 and is one of the biggest hits of the year-it would be easy to understand why some people would never expect to see him in the WWE ring again...However...people in WWE are expecting the star to return around WrestleMania season for one last run..."

Now, the popular wrestling site Cage Site Seats is also speculating that Batista might come back to take on Triple H, and it is not an unrealistic suggestion. If you remember, some of the biggest names in wrestling have left the company only to make a momentous reunion.

According the WWE, The Rock came out of retirement and shocked fans everywhere:

"The Rock left WWE to pursue his acting career, only to successfully return to the ring against John Cena in the main event of WrestleMania XXVIII - and prove to WWE's newest generation of fans that he truly is The Most Electrifying Man in All of Entertainment...Rock's victory over the Cenation leader guaranteed him a WWE Championship opportunity at the 2013 Royal Rumble. The Great One took advantage of the opening and ended CM Punk's historic 434-day reign in epic fashion."
