The WWE has a history of honoring the troops around the holidays. This year, however, fans got an unexpected surprise from the WWE crew. Several big timers like John Cena and Dolph Ziggler banned together with "a slew" of fellow superstars and divas to perform their own WWE version of "12 Days of Christmas." Also, Dwayne Johnson showed his Christmas spirit on Live with Kelly and Michael.
The holiday season is a time for family, friends, food, fun and, honoring one's beliefs. This is exactly what the WWE has done by showing their respect to our nation's Armed Forces, during this time of year.
Since it was created in 2003, the WWE's annual "Tribute to the Troops" has spread the joy to our fellow Americans abroad.
This year, however, members of the WWE have banned together to show their love for the holidays in a different way. According to Fuse TV, John Cena and company surprised wrestling fans with their spin on "12 Days of Christmas":
"This year has brought out some awesome Christmas music, but we weren't expecting our favorite WWE stars to get in on the festive fun.John Cena, Dolph Ziggler, Damien Sandow, Lana and a slew of WWE superstars gave their take on the "12 Days of Christmas." So, what did their true loves give to them? Staying true to their wrestling roots, the stars mention "eight bodies slamming," "six meat hooks dropping," "two stunt doubles" and more."
Interestingly, this was not the end of the festivities from the wrestling world. Former WWE Superstar Dwayne Johnson, a.k.a. The Rock, sang Christmas Karaoke on a popular New York morning show. According to TMZ Sports, The Rock and Michael Strahan had a holiday sing-off while wearing onsies:
"Two giant men ... two giant onsies ... one epic Christmas carol battle...The Rock hit up "Live with Kelly & Michael" this morning and challenged the morning show hosts to a Christmas karaoke showdown...Michael and Kelly took on "Christmas in Hollis" by Run-D.M.C...The Rock did "Here Comes Santa Claus" ... the Elvis version ... with a little help from a special guest...It wasn't just pride on the line -- the competitors were battling it out for an actual trophy."
