Kobe Bryant, Michael Jordan Feud for Greatest in NBA Continues, Laker Calls Teammates Soft

Kobe Bryant is easily one of the best players to step onto a basketball court. Some even try to compare him to the great Michael Jordan. After a pre-season game earlier in 2014, analysts claimed Kobe looked "sharp," and ready for the new season. Now, however it seems that Bryant and the Lakers are falling apart, as Kobe went so far to call his teammates "soft."

Astonishingly, Kobe entered the NBA straight out of high school, and he has been with the Lakers ever since. He has helped lead the boys in purple and yellow to five championships and seven appearances. Additionally, he is a 16-time All Star.

For the past three years, Kobe and the Lakers have lost the Western Conference.

That is a big turn around from making it to the finals consecutively for the three years before that. So, when this pre-season rolled around fans and analysts were eager to see the latest Kobe Brant. According to NBC Sports, Kobe looked on point and sharp:

"It's a joy to watch his impeccable footwork when get gets the ball in the post. His efficient fadeaway. The way when he faces up he doesn't over dribble but makes a quick, decisive move. He sees the game unfold and makes small adjustments. That Kobe was back Monday night in the Lakers preseason opener (a win over the Denver Nuggets). Most importantly looked healthy and moved well. He finished the night with 13 points on 5-of-12 shooting, had five assists but also three turnovers in 21 minutes..."

Unfortunately, that was only the pre-season and things have changed. Reported on by Yahoo Sports, the Lakers are fighting and Kobe even called his teammates "soft":

"...Epic trash talk between Kobe and Nick Young at practice. Young to Kobe: 'Nobody in the world can guard me. Nobody!'... Kobe extremely unhappy on the practice court. 'Now I see why we've lost so many games. We're soft like Charmin!'... Kobe yelled to Kupchak (coach) while leaving practice court: 'These (expletives) aren't doing (expletive) for me." Didn't think team practiced hard."

What do you think? Are you giving up on the Lakers? Or can Kobe spearhead a change? Let us know in the comment section below.
