NBC ‘Chicago Fire’ New Episode Spoilers: Jesse Spencer Crossover with ‘Law & Order: SVU’ and Sopiha Bush’s ‘PD’ Brings in Highest Ratings Since Lauren German Shay Death

NBC’s hit firefighter drama, Chicago Fire is all new tonight with another action packed episode. The hit series, starring Jesse Spencer (House M.D.) recently, saw a drastic boost in the ratings, thanks to a crossover with Law & Order: SVU and Chicago PD. The big event episode brought in the highest ratings since the death of Shay (Lauren German) in the Season 3 premiere. Check the report below to see how the show fared last week.

The official plot preview for tonight’s all new episode of Chicago Fire, titled “Arrest in Transit,” reads:

“The firehouse responds when a truck leaks hydrochloric acid at an intersection, an event that tests Casey and Dawson's relationship. Meanwhile, Mouch stumbles in his dating life, and Brittany's past comes into sharper view.”

Two week’s ago the show crossovers with both its own spin-off series Chicago PD and Law & Order: SVU. That episode brought in a big ratings boost, going from the previous week’s 7.23, (million) to 9.06.

The 9.06 rating marks the third highest rated episode of the series, and the second of the season. The Season 3 premiere, featuring the promised death of a crew member, brought in an impressive 9.14.

However, the ratings dropped back down, a 7.75 million.
