NBC New ‘Chicago Fire’ with Jesse Spencer After ‘Law & Order: SVU’ and Sophia Bush ‘Chicago PD’ Crossover: Did Ratings Increase? [SPOILERS] [PROMO]

Tonight, Jesse Spencer’s hit firehouse drama, Chicago Fire, is all new. Check out the all new episode promos below for a taste of the action. Last week, Chicago Fire was part of NBC’s huge crossover event with Law & Order: SVU and Sophia Bush’s Chicago PD. Check the report below to see how the crossover helped in the ratings.

The official plot synopsis for tonight’s all new episode of Chicago Fire, titled “Chopper,” reads:

“A huge helicopter explosion in a populated area leaves debris across a city block, sorely testing the firehouse members. Brett is cornered by a dangerous man amid the chaos, and Dawson makes a shocking discovery about the cause of the chopper crash.”

Last week’s crossover episode with Law & Order: SVU and Chicago PD, was a big hit for the series, with viewership climbing. Zap2it’s TVbythenumbers, column reports that the show reached a, “series-high +1.13 rating points in 18-49.”
