Berklee & The Boston Conservatory Prepare for Merger?

After opening its doors 149-years ago, The Boston Conservatory will soon be merging with Berklee College. Once the new school completes the necessary regulatory and accreditation review and approval process, later this summer, the combined institution will be known as Berklee with the Conservatory becoming The Boston Conservatory at Berklee. The hope is that by combining forces, Berklee and The Boston Conservatory will be able to lead the way in establishing new and original music genres and art forms for years to come.

    The ONE Music Group, creators of the only Apple MFi-certified piano that works with an app to teach users to play, has teamed with famed classical pianist Lang Lang in the hopes of bringing their ONE Smart Piano to the masses. Word has it that ONE Music Group recently secured $10 million in funding that will be used to advance its mission of music education with The Piano Classroom Project--dedicated to helping teachers cater to more students in each class at a more affordable rate.

I don't feel the need to talk this cat Stefon Harris up. You should be in the know already. He is where it is happening. My man has armed himself with a new band. The Music Gods annointed them with the name Sonic Creed and them mothers and Mr. Harris plan to lay a whole bunch of funk, postbop, R & B tinged jazz on you.
