‘Star Wars Episode VIII’ Spoilers: Mark Hamill May Have Hinted Luke Skywalker’s Son

Mark Hamill enjoys teasing Star Wars fans, and on March 18 he had people on the edge of their seats as he seemingly hinted about the movie's beloved character Luke Skywalker's son.

“Happiest of Birthdays to the Finn-tastic @JohnBoyega a swell fella who’s just sonsational in #EP8 Hmmm-Typo or spoiler? YOU decide! #Troll,” Hamill wrote on Twitter driving Star Wars fanatics into a frenzy.

Although there is a possibility that Finn could be Luke's son, Disney would definitely not allow anyone to give out some important details considering how strict they are when it comes to spoilers.

But this is not the first time that the 64-year-old actor made an intriguing comment. After the Star Wars: The Force Awakens director J.J. Abrams suggested gay characters are coming to Star Wars, Hamill has said his character’s sexuality is open to anyone's interpretation.

“Fans are writing and ask all these questions, ‘I’m bullied in school… I’m afraid to come out’. They say to me, ‘Could Luke be gay?’ I’d say it is meant to be interpreted by the viewer,” he told The Sun. “If you think Luke is gay, of course he is. You should not be ashamed of it. Judge Luke by his character, not by who he loves.”

Hamill's comments come soon after Abrams told The Daily Beast, "When I talk about inclusivity it's not excluding gay characters, it’s about inclusivity. So of course."

"I would love it," he continued. "To me, the fun of Star Wars is the glory of possibility. So it seems insanely narrow-minded and counter-intuitive to say that there wouldn’t be a homosexual character in that world."
