Tonight, The Flash is all new with a very special Christmas episode. The Weather Wizard returns to make sure that Captain Cold and the rest of Central City have a white Christmas. Meanwhile, The Trickster (Star Wars Episode 7’s Mark Hamill) has a few surprises to stuff in the Flash’s stockings. Meanwhile, Wally West A.K.A. Kid Flash/The 3rd Flash is joining the series. In the omics, Wally is Iris West’s nephew. In the series is Iris’ long lost brother.
The official plot for tonight’s fall finale of The Flash, titled “Running to Stand Still,” reads:
“The Weather Wizard returns to break Captain Cold and the Trickster out of Iron Heights, but Barry tries to stop him and prevent these rogues from taking over Central City during Christmas. Meanwhile, Joe and Iris meet Wally West.”
Executive producer Andrew Kreisberg recently released a statement to the press about the introduction of Kid Flash, Wally West, as E! News reports:
"Just like when we met [star] Grant [Gustin] for the first time, we instantly knew Keiynan embodied all the heart and courage of a hero. We are so excited to be bringing this much-beloved character onto the show."
