Ronda Rousey's loss to Holly Holm in UFC 193 had caused her much pain more than everyone initially thought. She got her very first defeat back in November and she was beaten in the most embarrassing way possible via knockout due to a brutal kick in the neck. Although she is now healthy and back in training, she seems to be not mentally ready to reclaim her belt.
According to a HollywoofLife source, the 29-year-old former UFC bantamweight champion is still having some issues after her devastating loss to Holm.
“As much as she wants to get her revenge on Holly she still isn’t ready mentally for that fight,” the source told the site exclusively. “She wanted it initially at UFC 200, but she wants to achieve other things before getting back in the octagon.”
Travis Browne's girlfriend is now second guessing herself as a fighter and she wants to steer her mind away from the fight and prefers to do some other activities outside the octagon.
“Ronda is trying to get her confidence back and her appearances and boyfriend are helping her out immensely,” the source added. “She wants to film more movies and do a few more media related things to get into the good graces of people and her fans again and then she’ll worry about the fight.”
Rousey previously shared on The Ellen DeGeneres Show that she had contemplated killing herself after her first loss. Thinking about her boyfriend and their future together practically saved her life.
"To be honest, I looked up and I saw my man Travis was standing up there, and I looked up at him and I was like, 'I need to have his babies, I need to stay alive,'" Rousey said. "Really, that was it."
