Ronda Rousey's Suicide Confession: First UFC Loss Made Her Want to Kill Herself

Ronda Rousey is arguable one of the toughest women in the planet, her perseverance and fighting skills left Dana White no choice but to allow women to battle in the UFC, so it was shocking to everyone when the former UFC bantamweight champion confessed to Ellen DeGeneres that she had contemplated to kill herself after her devastating loss to Holly Holm at UFC 193.

The 29-year-old skilled MMA fighter was a guest star on The Ellen DeGeneres show's Feb. 16 episode. She opened up about her very first loss back in November and Rousey started to get emotional.

“I was like, in the medical room and I was down in the corner. I was sitting in the corner like, what am I anymore if I’m not this?" she told DeGeneres.

The former champ then confessed that she had thought of taking her own life because she felt worthless after being beaten by Holm in the most embarrassing way possible.

“And I was literally sitting there and thinking about killing myself and that exact second I’m like ‘I’m nothing,’" she revealed. "What do I do anymore and no one gives a sh*t about me anymore without this.”

Rousey has never lost a match before UFC 193, but her long-running reign ended with a kick to the neck that knocked her out on the 2nd round of the title fight. On Feb. 11, Rousey was finally spotted back in training for her much-awaited rematch with Holm. She was seen in her full workout gear at the Glendale Fighting Club with her training partner, Edmond Tarverdyan. Holm is set to defend her title on March 5 against Miesha Tate in UFC 197.
