Ronda Rousey is one busy woman, from filming movies, to TV guest appearances to hosting Saturday Night Live last month. After her hectic schedule outside the Octagon, it seems like the former UFC women's bantamweight champion has no time for training. But on Thursday, February 11, Rousey was finally spotted with her gloves on as she went back training for her rematch with Holly Holm.
In photos obtained by TMZ Sports, the 29-year-old mixed martial artist was seen back in the gym at the Glendale Fighting Club with her training partner, Edmond Tarverdyan. She looked focused as she tackled Tarverdyan, making sure that she is in the best condition to take her belt back from Holm.
Holm gave Rousey her first defeat in the most embarrassing way possible in UFC 193. She knocked the former champ out in the second round, making her the first fighter ever to beat Rousey. Rousey suffered enough damage for her to have a medical suspension for 60 days after her loss back in November.
After Rousey's suspension, there was no mention about their much-awaited rematch up until she confirmed that it will definitely happen when TMZ Sports caught up with her on January 18.
“It’s a decision we’re all gonna make together," she told the cameraman. "But I’m kind of waiting to hear from them what options they’re gonna give me. That’s all I want to do.”
Before their epic rematch, Holm will defend her title against Miesha Tate in UFC 197 on March 5.
