Ronda Rousey WWE WrestleMania Appearance: UFC White Thinks 'Awesome'

At WrestleMania 31 this past month, Ronda Rousey made her first WWE appearance and her boss, UFC President Dana White, thinks it was "awesome." But White let fans know that, even though he praised Ronda, Rousey was only going to be fighting in the ring for him.

The Los Angeles Times gives White's odd response:

"What she did on WrestleMania was awesome. It was awesome...It came off great, I loved it...Um, she's a one-and-done."

Rousey has never even had an official match with World Wrestling Entertainment, and, in fact, only made an in-ring appearance at WrestleMania with The Rock. The appeal of these two superstars and the potential for crossover between the two sports would seem like a fight fan's dream.

But, be it because of hypothetical injury or potential lost profits, White wants to keep Rousey to himself. The fact that he called her a one and done without her even performing a match made it also seem that he didn't even want her making guest appearances -- odd for a man who thought it was awesome.

The WWE was caught off guard with Whites response about her not being able to step into the squared circle for their company, mostly because Rousey had given them the impression that, at the least, she was willing to be more involved and desired to make more appearances.

MMAnews.com got the sports entertainment giant's thoughts after White's remarks "stunned," which is understanable...but also weird that they were so shocked another company wouldn't let them pursue one of their biggest draws.

Would you rather see Ronda Rousey wrestling in the WWE, MMA fighting in UFC, or both? Does Whites statement really mean anything or is it a ploy for later events? What will Rousey say about Whites comment? Tell us what you think.
