Perrie Edwards Reacts to Zayn Malik's New Song 'It's You'

Zayn Malik just unveiled his latest single "It's You," reportedly about his ex-fiancee, Little Mix star Perrie Edwards.

The lyrics provide a small insight into the nature of their breakup story. For Edwards, it must have been hard to listen to her ex pour his heart out in a new song.

According to a HollywoodLife source, the 22-year-old singer is now a stronger person and it didn't affect her in a heartbreaking way compared to what she would have felt if she had listened to this song before when she was still in her dark moment.

“If she heard the song a few months ago she would have had more of an emotional reaction to it," the source told the site exclusively. "But her tears about the breakup are not there anymore. She has moved on."

The source revealed that Edwards is fine if Malik wants to express his feelings in a song. She didn't seem to mind that the 23-year-old former One Direction star had written a song about her. She is finally in a better place and she has moved on from their breakup.

“Sure she is interested in hearing the songs about her but she is in a good place right now and can hear them with an open heart and an open mind," the source added. "If these songs help him get over the relationship then she is happy because she is now over it herself.”

Malik dated Edwards in 2011 and by 2013, the couple got engaged. But a single text message ended their relationship on 2015. The former boyband member is currently dating 20-year-old model Gigi Hadid.
