Is the feud between Zayn Malik and One Direction's Liam Payne, Harry Styles, Louis Tomlinson and Niall Horan finally over? It seems like it as the former member of the popular boy band has finally talked about the positives of being in 1D. After leaving the band, Malik had nothing but bad things to say about One Direction but the has 23-year-old suddenly had a change of heart and he is now acknowledging the good times he had with his former bandmates, saying he is "massively grateful."
“I’m massively grateful for that, and if it wasn’t for that, I wouldn’t be here,” Malik told Ryan Seacrest during his interview for his radio show, On Air with Ryan Seacrest. “It’s not because I’m trying to be more successful or as successful as what was going on before, because there’s no comparison.”
Even though he had been slamming the band's songs, even revealing to Billboard that he didn't buy their latest album, Made in The A.M. because he disliked the second single, "Perfect."
“I’ll be honest," he said. "I thought the first single ["Drag Me Down"] was quite cool. I heard the second single and -- yeah, I didn’t buy the album.”
Even after Malik's harsh words, this didn't affect the band's latest music video, "History" as a tribute for their friendship and career. They surprisingly featured their former member in the sweetest way possible.
After the release of the band's music video, Malik's tone became different and has now been praising the band that made him famous.
“I was in the biggest boy band in the world and I loved what we did as a boy band,” he told Seacrest.
