Earlier this week the internet went crazy when it was reported that just like her Fuller House costar, Candace Cameron Bure, Jodie Sweetin would be joining ABC's hit series Dancing with the Stars. According to the latest gossip news updates, after a lifetime of dancing as a hobby, Stephanie Tanner would be joining the celebrity roster when the show returns to the air in March. Unfortunately for her fans, however, the Netflix star put the kibosh on that story yesterday -- explaining that while Val and Maksim Chmerkovskiy make a guest appearance on her show's 2016 season, she would not be returning the favor.
Although ABC has done their best to keep the 2016 cast under wraps, Us Weekly recently reported that former Full House child star Jodie Sweetin will be competing in Season 22 of Dancing with the Stars.
Since the story broke, several sites have pointed to Sweetin's 2013 interview with NJ.com as evidence, that in a roundabout way, she has been preparing for the dance completion her entire life:
"I started dancing when I was, like, 3, I don't know if you called what I did great dancing, but it was fun.
"The girls I danced with in [Full House] were girls I actually trained with in the studio.
"So I danced outside the show and they sort of incorporated that as part of the character for Stephanie."
As exciting as Sweetin's joining the cast would be, a now 34-year-old Stephanie Tanner let her fans know via Twitter that she was in no way going to be on Dancing with the Stars this year, despite her recently spending time with both the Chmerkovskiy brothers (via Entertainment Tonight):
"Omg! So many rumors flying around!
"We had Maks and Val on an episode of Fuller House and now everyone is saying I'm on DWTS!
"I AM a fan!"
