Jodie Sweetin, former star of Full House didn’t seem to be on drugs when she filed for divorce yesterday. Though, this does mark the third marriage she has had to dissolve, and her past habits could make getting custody of her kid problematic.
After just a year of marriage, Sweetin is calling it quits with her current husband, Morty Coyle. Coyle and Sweetin tied the knot in March 2012 and celebrated their one year anniversary just three months ago.
In addition to separating, Sweetin is seeking full custody of their daughter, Beatrix, who is 2-years-old. That’s not all she is after.
According to court documents, Sweetin is asking that she keeps their 2000 Toyota Avalon and half of the balance on their Kohl’s credit card, which is just $100.
Yikes.
This isn’t Sweetin’s first divorce either. It’s her third! She was also married to Cody Herpin, with whom she has another child.
In her 2009 autobiography, Sweetin discussed her new-found sobriety:
"I got sober for good on December 7, 2008. I was flying to L.A. and I ended up taking a bunch of NyQuil and drinking a sh**load…From that day forward, I threw myself into going to AA and avoided people who do blow off their coffee tables. But life is good. I'm happier than I can remember."
Whether or not she is sober these days is uncertain, but a source close to Sweetin told Us Weekly:
"She seems in good spirits. She's sober still so she's in way better shape than last time. It's definitely true."
