Ben Affleck Says He is Inspired by Zack Snyder to Direct the Next Batman Film

Will Ben Affleck be the director for the next Batman movie? There is no telling, but Ben Affleck has recently made a statement saying that he was inspired to direct a superhero film after seeing the story that Zack Snyder is telling in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.

It is one of the long-standing rumors coming out of the run up to the theatrical release of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, will Ben Affleck be directing the next stand alone Batman film? In the past the actor has confirmed that it is definitely a possibility for him. He told USA Today back in that, "it's something I'd be open to," and "it's an exciting idea."

This would be an interesting proposition. Affleck has an impressive directing resume that includes amazing films such as Argo, Gone Girl, and The Town. Seeing how he would treat a Batman film would be something that I would love to see. Would he be able to bring something to Batman that we have not seen yet?

Talking with the DC paper, Affleck was asked whether he had signed on to direct the next Caped Crusader film. His response is intriguing, and keen-eyed fans may be able to see the hidden message here, "I'll just say going through the process, I would never have imagined that I could or would direct a movie like this. And in working with [Batman v Superman director Zack Snyder] and seeing what he did and watching him every day, I got really inspired by that and by seeing the scope on which he was telling the story, by seeing what he was able to do with this kind of mythic story on a grand scale."

Ben Affleck will star as Batman in the upcoming Zack Snyder film, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice on March 25, and will have a cameo appearance in David Ayers upcoming Suicide Squad film.
