On January 24, Roman Reigns will defend his WWE World Heavyweight Championship in the Royal Rumble match. In this reporter's opinion, this means that the WWE does not want Reigns to be in the main event of WrestleMania 32. The easiest way to get him out of that match would be for Reigns to lose the belt, and then have his rematch clause at Fastlane. This would then also allow for the main event of Fastlane to be a match to decide the No. 1 Contender to the champion. With Brock Lesnar back in the picture, and Triple H still sitting out with his kayfabe injuries, it seems that these two could be on a collision course to meet at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas.
There are rumors abound that Triple H could very well walk out of the Royal Rumble as WWE World Heavyweight Champion. If this is the case, it will undoubtedly set up a Triple H-Roman Reigns match at Fastlane, and there's no reason to think the WWE would have Reigns lose the title, only to win it right back at the next PPV, especially the PPV before WrestleMania. Lesnar just returned to the WWE after some time off, and will be in the Rumble match. It is conceivable that either of the two men will win the belt, but the odds on favorite right now is Triple H.
These two have had matches since Lesnar returned to the company. In fact, Triple H has already beaten Lesnar at WrestleMania, winning a No Holds Barred Match at WrestleMania 29. That was a very entertaining match, and the two squared off in the months following to settle the score, but on the Grandest Stage of Them All, both men were at the top of their game.
While Reigns could very well walk out as champ, a matchup between these two legends would be very entertaining, and an idea the WWE is surely throwing around.
