Emily Blunt & John Krasinski Marriage in Trouble?

It would seem that John Krasinski's refashioning himself as an action hero may have as much an effect on his marriage to Emily Blunt as it is bound to have on his career. According to the latest gossip news updates, John is tired of hiding in his wife's shadow and hopes that this move from funnyman to hard hitting action star, in 13 Hours, will get him back on equal footing with the Sicario beauty both in Hollywood and at home. Word has it that the Krasiniski's physical transformation already has Blunt taking a greater interest in formerly chubby Office hubby, whether he likes to admit it or not.

Now that John Krasinski no longer enjoys the high-profile afforded him by The Office, while his wife's star continues to rise, the funnyman is making a play to rework his Hollywood image by starring in Michael Bay's hard hitting 13 Hours: The Secret Soldiers of Benghazi.

One source in the latest January 18, issue of OK! Magazine claims that Krasinski is hoping that the change in genre will give his career the boost it needs to once again make him Emily Blunt's Tinsel Town equal:

"John's career slow-down has taken toll on his pride...[he] is insecure about Emily's success.

"He's proud of her, but his ego is bruised.

"Things have been tense, but friends are hoping they'll recover."

For his part, John told NBC that Emily certainly seems happy with his getting into the shape of his life for the film, despite his recently joking that she preferred him a bit more "doughy" (via E! News):

"I can't believe people took that the wrong way. I was totally kidding.

"She is a huge fan of that, but of course, people will write what they want to write. But no, she's a big fan of it."

What do you think of John Kasinski's becoming an action star?

Should he have kept to cracking wise and left the ass-kicking to Blunt?

Or, is it nice to see The Office icon willing to do whatever it takes to remain relevant?
