Watch Video: Official Trailer for Bryan Singer's 'X-Men: Apocalypse' Storms the Internet

The first official trailer for Bryan Singer's X-Men: Apocalypse has gone live on the internet this morning, and it looks fantastic! Apocalypse, the first mutant, looks to destroy everything that the X-Men have fought so hard to protect, can he be stopped?

We finally have our first look at the official trailer for X-Men: Apocalypse fully equipped with a young and very bald Professor Xavier. Although I have some reservations about En Sabah Nur, the rest of the footage looks great. This new threat will force the X-Men to fight for their own lives and the lives of humanity against a legend. Do they have what it takes to defeat the most powerful mutant to have ever lived? Check out the trailer below:

In the trailer we find out the motivations that Apocalypse has for resurfacing and making his presence known. The future for the X-Men looks pretty bleak. The trailer is really dark, and shows a true threat to the mighty team of mutants. One thing noticeably absent from this trailer is Wolverine. Where is the one constant mutant that has helped the X-Men out time and time again. I seriously doubt that he will be completely absent from the film, but I feel that his appearance will be little more than a cameo.

Is this a good thing or a bad thing for the film? A mutant that regenerates and can live forever practically, would be a high priority on Apocalypse's shopping list. There have been so many situations from the comics that place different heroes into the place of one of the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse, it is really hard to know which direction Singer will be taking the film. I am hoping that at some point we will see Apocalypse approach the Summer's brothers (Havok and Cyclops), but will have probably have to wait until the film's release to find out any information such as this.

In the trailer we also see the Hero Angel as Archangel, fully equipped with his metal wings. He looks great, and this also leaves me asking whether or not we will get the film version of him losing his wings, and getting his metal ones. This is one scenario that is on my wish list, although I doubt Mr. Sinister will be the one who does it onscreen, as he did in the comics.

What are some of your thoughts?
