While most of the Keeping Up with the Kardashians cast have been known to charge appearance fees at clubs and certain speaking engagement, Caitlyn Jenner is reportedly raising a few eyebrows by continuing the practice now that she is a LGBTQ figurehead. According to the latest gossip news updates, the I Am Cait star routines charges $100K to lend her support to transgender causes. Regardless of her reportedly bilking her own community for thousands and thousands of dollars, Caitlyn is still the current posterchild for the transgender movement -- as illustrated by a recent incendiary billboard set up outside of Auckland. Before being removed, the offensive sign featured a photoshopped version of Jenner's recent Vanity Fair cover along with a tasteless reference to the reality TV star's empty "sack."
Being that Caitlyn Jenner has been lambasted for appearing to represent the views of wealthy white men more than the transgender community she regular speaks for, she might want to rethink reportedly charging tens of thousands of dollars to appear at LGBTQ events.
One trans activist claims in the latest December 14, issue of OK! Magazine that Caitlyn's charging "at least $100,000" to speak out on behalf of her community proves that she doesn't really care about the people she pretends to represent:
"It's completely selfish to charge so much.
"[Jenner] cares more about the money than about helping people.
"She's greedy and fame-hungry."
Whether anyone likes it or not, however, Jenner is the undisputed face of transgender men and women everywhere, which is why folks were so angry when they saw a billboard outside of Auckland, New Zealand making a grass joke about Caitlyn's sex change.
What do you think of this advertising board in Auckland??? #smackyourface

Outraged kiwi, Rebecca Jones, who is mother to a 9-tear-old transgender boy, told Stuff.co.nz that the offensive sign was exactly the kind of insensitive shaming that led countless kids the world over to take their own lives every year (via HuffingtonPost):
"Transgender suicide rates are extremely high.
"If they had put a racist board up, would they have got away with it? They shouldn't be mocking a marginalized sector of society.
"People just have no clue how Caitlyn has literally saved lives by making transgender 'normal.' Young people can look up to Caitlyn and realize they aren't alone."
The company responsible for the billboard, Cranium Signage, announced via Facebook that they have destroyed the sign in question and are deeply sorry for any hurt feelings they might have caused:
"We have removed our post and are now removing the sign tonight due to people taking offence.
"It was not our intention to offend any people in the community/world."
What do you think of Caitlyn Jenner's status as the de facto face of the transgender community?
Should LGBT freedom fighters take offense at the Keeping Up with the Kardashians star representing them?
Or, would it be best for everyone if they focused on utilizing Caitlyn's celebrity status to further their mutual goals instead of tearing her apart for not being as dedicated to their value system as they might have hoped?
Let us hear what you have to say about it in the comment field below.
