My how things have changed. Once considered to be an easy win on the Denver Broncos' schedule, the Chicago Bears are actually favored by many analysts to continue their win streak against the now-Peyton Manning-less squad. With Manning out, and Brock Osweiler in, the fantasy implications in this one are drastically different. Read on to see predictions for who the top five fantasy football performers will be in this Week 11 matchup of the 2015 NFL season.
5. RB Ronnie Hillman, Broncos
The Bears don't have a top-flight run defense, but running backs typically don't score many points against them. Even last week, rookie sensation Todd Gurley only ran for 45 yards and a TD on them. The Broncos have struggled to run the ball this year, but you have to figure that they'll be more committed to the ground in this one, as Osweiler makes his first career start.
Projection: 18 CAR, 85 YDS - 3 REC, 30 YDS
4. TE Zach Miller, Bears
Miller has had a career plagued with injuries, but he's been healthy all year and is making major contributions now to the offense. In the past two weeks, he's caught seven passes for 130 yards and three TDs, taking over for Martellus Bennett who has for some strange reason been relatively unproductive since a drop-riddled game against the Kansas City Chiefs in Week 5.
Denver has great corners, which means OC Adam Gase will be targeting the middle of the field to play to the opposing team's weaknesses, as he's done all year long.
Projection: 4 REC, 65 YDS, 1 TD
3. QB Jay Cutler, Bears
Normally, against a defense like this, you'd pick Cutler to have a horrid day with several turnovers. That notion has taken a complete 180 this year, as he's clicked with Gase, HC John Fox and this supporting case around him. He's stepped up as a leader and taken responsibility for how successful this team is week in and week out. Expect him to keep it going with a determined offensive unit that's been getting better each week, and just put up 37 points on one of the best defenses in the league, the St. Louis Rams'.
Projection: 28/39, 227 YDS, 2 TDs, 1 INT
2. WR Demaryius Thomas, Broncos
Someone who shouldn't see a lack of targets during the switch from Manning to Osweiler -- for as long as that may last -- is Thomas. Last week, he still caught seven balls on 10 targets for 71 yards. The young quarterback from Arizona State has a big arm, and I'm sure they'll take a couple of shots in this one. Odds are, Thomas will come down with one of them for a huge play.
Projection: 9 REC, 134 YDS, 1 TD
1. RB Jeremy Langford, Bears
When Matt Forte went out a couple of weeks ago, many said the Bears' offense would take a major hit in production. Instead, they haven't missed a beat, and Langford's big-play ability has been a huge factor why. That won't change against a top-notch pass defense, and he'll play a major role in the gameplan once more.
Projection: 22 CAR, 105 YDS, 1 TD - .4 REC, 56 YDS
