The 4-5 Oakland Raiders head to Michigan to take on the 2-7 Detroit Lions for 1 p.m. EST kickoff this Sunday. Detroit is probably feeling pretty good after knocking off the Green Bay Packers last weekend, but the young and feisty Raiders are seeking to rebound from a two-game skid. Below are predictions for the top five fantasy football performers for this Week 11 matchup of the 2015 NFL season.
5. Joique Bell
The Lions' run game has been pathetic this year, but they -- and more specifically, Bell -- have been given the gift of playing against the Raiders' run defense. Oakland has given up the 26th most fantasy points to running backs in 2015. If the Lions are ever going to get things going for a running back, now is the time.
Projection: 18 CAR, 82 YDS - 3 REC, 40 YDS, 1 TD
4. Latavius Murray
While the Lions benefit from playing the Raiders' run defense, so to does Oakland benefit from playing Detroit's. Since the departure of Ndamukong Suh and Nick Fairley, no one is afraid to run on these guys, and Murray will set the tone for the Raiders' offense early in this one.
Projection: 23 CAR, 121 YDS, 1 TD - 2 REC, 15 YDS
3. Calvin Johnson
Megatron has had a down year for the most part, but getting the running game going a little bit more than usual will open things up downfield. Today seems like a low-reception, high-production day for him.
Projection: 5 REC, 118 YDS, 1 TD
2. Derek Carr
It may be Murray setting the tone, but Carr and the passing game will have a bigger day. Expect him to be allowed to unleash rockets all over the field, as Detroit has no one who can cover receivers Amari Cooper and Michael Crabtree -- and no, I don't buy into the Darius Slay hype too much.
Projection: 31/42, 368 YDS, 3 TDs
1. Amari Cooper
Like I said, there's no one on that Detroit defense who can even kind of stay close to the Raiders' wideouts, especially Cooper. He's going to have a monster performance, perhaps being the top receiver of the week.
Projection: 10 REC, 187 YDS, 2 TDs
