Actress, comedian, and anti-vaccine advocate Jenny McCarthy is one of the many of people concerned following Charlie Sheen’s recent admission that he has HIV. The pair coupled up on screen in Two and Half Men. Now, McCarthy is calling for answers to what she sees as a “double standard” regarding health disclosure for actors and actress. McCarthy has taken to Twitter to address her concerns about AIDS/HIV and herpes disclosure in the industry. However, Sheen’s manager is claiming that Sheen contracted the virus long after his contact with McCarthy.
Charlie Sheen’s manager, Mark Burg, is earning his money this week. Burg recently reached out to People, addressing McCarthy's concerns in a statement that reads:
"Charlie was infected long after he left Two and a Half Men and long after he worked with Jenny."
However, former porn star Bree Olson has a little bit more to be worried about. Bree was Sheen’s live in girlfriend for a brief time during his “Tiger Blood” breakdown. Olson claims to have engaged in unprotected sex with Sheen, and was unaware of his diagnosis until his recent admission.
Burg also addressed this concern, telling HLN:
"Charlie was not HIV positive at that time and tested negative two times after he got back from the tour. He didn't tell her because he wasn't HIV positive at the time. He has not spoken to her since April 2011."
What do you think about the controversy? Do you think Charlie lied about his health to his partners? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section at the bottom of the page.
