Salman Khan's epic film, Sultan, is about to start filming and producers have yet to find two actresses to play the female leads in the film. Reports say that the creative team behind the film, including Salman, are on the lookout for a veteran, established actress to play one role and a fresh face to play the other. So far, no one has pleased them. As filming is about to begin, Khan has taken on the thought that he will have to carry the movie for a while.
According to the Times of India web site, part of the problem is that Salman Khan and director Aditya Chopra are the ones having the hardest time agreeing on whom to cast in either role. "The cast requires two actresses - an established name and a newcomer. However, it seems that Salman and Aditya Chopra don't quite agree on whom to cast. Aditya Chopra, who is producing the film, hasn't liked the auditions of any of the newcomers."
For Salman Khan, Sultan could be make or break either way for him. Already with two major hits under his belt, if Sultan hits, Khan will be King. Not that he isn't already, but Khan's film will be released the same day as Shah Rukh Khan's Dilwale. As with all his projects, Khan has invested his entire being into the film. This via The Indian Express, "Salman's role in Sultan requires him to speak in a certain Haryanvi dialect. He is a superstar with a wealth of experience in acting. Just to get the nuances of the dialect right, the producers have got Rahul onboard who is a trained theatre actor from Delhi. Director Ali Abbas Zafar has already briefed Rahul on the same and what is expected from him."
So, are you excited to see Sultan?
