'The Flash': Ezra Miller Wants to Bring Humanity to the Big Screen Version of the Speedster?

Ezra Miller sits down with Coming Soon to talk about how he want his Flash to be. Brace yourselves things are about to get a bit deep.

As if things could get any crazier, Ezra Miller has recently sat down with Coming Soon and talked about some of the things that He would want from his big screen version of The Flash. This is a film that could either be great for the DC Cinematic Universe of fail miserably. DC and Warner Brothers have decided to go with a film universe that is completely separate from their television universe, this is no secret. The question that arises is whether or not fans really want this separation to happen.

I can see DC's thought process here a little bit, Marvel has wrapped both of their universes together nicely, but there are some big jumps happening that you might miss if you aren't an avid watcher of Marvel's Agents of Shield. These aren't really big moments, but we are comic fans, and as such we want to know every detail. Most of these moments were involving minor characters and actions around the Heroes, rather than dealing with Heroes. We thrive on the connective tissue that binds all of our favorite universes. You could even argue that this is our street credit.

DC is forcing you to take things a step further. They already have two really popular television shows in Arrow and The Flash, and Supergirl is just beginning to gain some steam. They could of had three successful shows, had they made some different moves with Constantine. DC is looking to set themselves apart from Marvel in this way.

The first film that will test this idea is the big screen adaptation of The Flash, starring Ezra Miller as the Scarlet Speedster. With little news about this film hitting, everything is a mystery. Ezra Miller recently told Coming Soon about his expectation of the character. He says that, "Well, [first] it's going to be a movie, I'd like for it to be an exploration of a human being, a multi-dimensional human being, to speak...Wow, I just made such a pun, without meaning to....I'd like the character to have many dimensions. But really, I'd like him to have the usual dimensions we know and love, and then some extra ones that are part of the amazing consideration of this superhero. I hope to realize him as a person, and I think what's most exciting for me in superhero mythologies is when we feel the humanity of someone who is heroic - or the heroism of someone who is a flawed, deeply human person."

This makes sense, sort of, and I hope it makes more sense as we find out some more information about the film.

The Flash is slated to hit theaters some time in 2018.
