For years now it seems that Justin Bieber couldn't care less how he is perceived by his fans and critics alike. According to the latest gossip news updates, the Biebs decent into the dark side was as much his mother, Pattie Mallette's fault as it was his own. Word has it that at a very crucial time in his life, Bieber's mom all but abandoned him to his record company handlers and his sleazy dad.
At 21-years-old it seem like Justin Bieber should be old enough to take responsibility for his actions, but some folks claim that the popstar was doomed to fail in some ways, thanks to his mother's supposedly not being interested enough in his upbringing.
One source in the latest November 23, issue of Star magazine claims that at a time when Justin most needed her, Pattie Mallette seemed more than happy to let his ever-growing entourage raise her son:
"Justin may have a bratty history, but Pattie didn't do much to help.
"When he turned 16, she basically handed him over to [his manager] Scooter Braun and Justin's ex-convict dad, who isn't exactly father of the year material
"Since then, he's been surrounded by a shady crew, people too afraid of losing their meal ticket to really challenge his judgment...I wouldn't be surprised if, on some level, Justin has abandonment issues."
