Justin Bieber Challenges One Direction with New Album?

While Justin Bieber has hardly been making any new fans this week with his storming out of interviews and performances, the Biebs is said to be looking for even more trouble by taking on Harry Styles and the rest of the One Direction crew. According to the latest gossip news updates, Selena Gomez' ex-boyfriend plans to put his own boy band together for his next album. It may be hard to believe that Justin is already planning his next album, but given the lackluster press surrounding, Purpose, it's likely the Canadian popstar might want to quickly move on to his next project.

Although Justin Bieber seems to be dealing with all he can handle as it is, the troubled 21-year-old superstar is said to be setting his sights on taking Harry Styles down a peg or two.

One source in the latest November 9, issue of Life & Style claims that Bieber plans to form a boy band for his next album that will rival One Direction in popularity:

"Justin thinks that with his name, connections and talent, he can blow 1D out of the water! Justin thinks the band will be a chart topper.

"One Directions album drops the same day as Justin's and he feels like they're trying to steal his spotlight, so this is his way of getting revenge."

During his recent interview with Coup de Main, however, Harry Styles explained that he doesn't really think that dropping a new record on the same day as another artist really has that much of an effect on things (via HollywoodLife):

"There is no need for a fight, if they are fighting. We just happen to be releasing our albums on the same day. It's happened to us before; our first couple of albums were released on the same day as Rihanna.

"I think the press have just made a bit of a deal out of it because it's us and Justin Bieber...It's fine. You know you're going to be up against someone in the charts -- it just happens that we have fallen on the same day."

What do you think of a Justin Bieber fronted boy band?

Would the Biebs ever really be able to share the stage with other singerd when can hardly even finish his shows given how much contempt he has for his own fans?

Or, would a Justin Bieber boy band be even better than if NSYNC and the Backstreet Boys got together and made a five-headed baby?

Let us hear what you have to say about it in the comment field below.
