Although it seems like the supermarket tabloids were just complaining about Amal Alamuddin being too thin, word has it the George Clooney's wife is now sporting a bit of a baby bump. According to the latest gossip news updates, it is getting harder and harder for Batman's wife to conceal her pregnancy from the public. While it is unlikely that George will bother addressing the rumors that he is having a baby, Clooney and his partners, Rande Gerder and Mike Meldman wasted no time in dismissing reports that their Casamigos Tequila company employees labor under subpar third world conditions.
While Amal Alamuddin usually finds herself taking fire for her slender frame, it's now being rumored that George Clooney's wife is showing a little pregnancy pudge whether she likes it or not.
Thanks to some well positioned paparazzo, Radar Online is reporting that Amal and George will soon be announcing that they have a baby on the way:
"Over the weekend, the usually stick-thin lawyer was pictured leaving a restaurant in Los Angeles with George and sporting what some observers said could be a baby bump."
In addition to speculating on his personal life, a few tabloids thought it might be a good idea to claim that Clooney's Casamigos Tequila brand operated at near sweatshop like conditions.
In their latest November 23, issue OK! Magazine claims to have spoken to a Casamigos employee that only makes $3.33 an hour and is not allowed to speak on the job for fear of being fired:
"When we work, we aren't allowed to talk, to avoid accidents.
"If we're busy we must not talk at all."
Not wasting any time addressing the accusations that Casamigos exploits it employees through horrendous work condition, Clooney and his partners released a statement insisting there was absoolutely no truth to the unfounded allegations (via Gossip Cop):
"Casamigos is the fastest growing Premium Tequila brand in the U.S. and unknown third parties may be trying to tarnish their reputation by falsifying a story and shopping it to tabloids.
"Our lawyers were in fact told by the National Enquirer that given the evidence, they halted their cover story. Their sister company, OK! Magazine had already gone to print so it was too late to stop the story.
"Based on assurances directly from the distillery owners, all staff are of legal working age, the staff is paid well above what Mexican law requires, overtime work is optional and is compensated by overtime pay, and the working conditions at the distillery are sanitary, safe, and consistent with industry standards as confirmed by the CRT during their normal audits of the distillery."
