Boss Talks ‘Arrow’ & ‘Flash’ Spin-Off ‘Legends of Tomorrow’: Dawn of TV Justice League?

The Dawn of Justice might be coming to the big screen in 2016, but the small screen has it’s very own Justice League. The CW is getting ready to launch the new Flash and Arrow spin-off series, Legends of Tomorrow. The show is a time traveling team up with some of the best heroes and villains from both shows plus a couple of new ones. Some of the roster includes, Arrow’s Atom, Ray Palmer ( Superman Returns Brandon Routh) The White Canary, Sara Lance (Mad Men’s Caity Lotz), as well as The Flash’s Heat Wave Mick Rory (Prison Break’s Dominic Purcell), Captain Cold, Leonard Snart (Prison Break’s Wentworth Miller) and at least one half of Firestorm, Dr. Martin Stein (Godspell’s Victor Garber). Now the show’s boss, Wendy Mericl, is opening up about the tone of the show, and assembling a “sort of,” Justice Leage on the small screen.

Recently, Arrow showrunner, Wendy Mericl spoke to Comicbook.com about upcoming spin-off series:

“I think the crossovers were sort of the first attempt at seeing what it would look like to bring a bunch of different characters together from different shows. It works really well. I think I'm answering your question when I say that, yes, we do talk about Legends as a Justice League of sorts. Sort of our version of it. It is, as you know from everything that's already been released, it's a group of super heroes, or ‘Legends’, so to speak, out there being heroes. It does have a different tone, though. One of the things that's really exciting about it having it come up in this universe, in this context, is how different it is from Flash and from Arrow. It has a very different feel, and the time travel element is completely new to both shows. It's really fun. It's turning out to be just really bad-a*s.”
