Tonight, Supergirl takes flight once again. Last week’s episode started off strong with an impressive rating of 12.96 (viewers by millions). However, the second week is always the real test of strength for any series. Check out the plot report below for a look at tonight’s all new episode to see just what, besides yellow sunlight, makes Supergirl so strong.
The official plot synopsis for tonight’s all new episode of Supergirl, titled "Stronger Together,” reads:
“Kara's confidence as a superhero is shaky at first, and with good reason. But then a threat to National City forces her to cast her doubts aside in order to capture an escapee from the Kryptonian prison Fort Rozz. Elsewhere, Cat pressures James to use his connection to Superman to land her an interview with his cousin.”
Recently, Supergirl series co-creator Andrew Kreisberg spoke to Huffington Post, about one of the many things that make Supergirl such a driven hero:
“I think she has a little bit of this refugee PTSD that makes her hopefulness, strength, desire to protect people and see justice that much more potent. In some ways her origin story could have sent her down a very different path. I mean, she could have been blackened and beset by this very tragic backstory. Instead, she turned into something beautiful and that’s why I love her.”
