Spoiler Alert: Tonight ABC’s hit fairy-tale drama, Once Upon A Time is back with another all new episode. This week, the Dark One, Emma Swan (Jennifer Morrison) send’s Disney Princess, Merida (Amy Manson), from the hit movie Brave, to kidnap Belle (Emilie de Ravin). Now, Manson is opening up about playing a hero who is sent to do bad, in order to save her own heart.
Recently, Merida actress, Amy Manson spoke to TVLine about what is in store for tonight's episode.
“We’re in jail at the start of the episode, and then you find out why Belle is kidnapped by Merida. Merida sees something that Belle does in the episode and wonders if it’s something that she could also use in the quest to save her brothers. You find out why Belle is the key to helping Merida, even though she’s annoyed with her for being kidnapped!”
Don’t let Merida’s dirty deeds fool you. The Brave princess isn’t going Peter Pan on us. Merida has the Dark One pulling her “heart strings,” as Manson adds:
“Merida doesn’t want to do it, and what ends up happening is a formation has arisen in her own mind of how she can avenge Emma and Emma’s decision, how she can get her heart back, and if there’s any way that she can pull Gold into helping her. That’s what you find out this week, that even though she’s under Emma’s control, Emma doesn’t exactly know what’s going on when she’s with Gold. She has a hidden agenda, for sure.”
The official plot synopsis for tonight's all new episode of Once Upon A Time, titled “The Bear and the Bow,” reads:
“Merida goes on a quest to save her brothers and brings Belle with her in a Camelot flashback. Meanwhile, a spell that will open communication with Merlin is found in Storybrooke; and Emma orders Merida to kill Belle, prompting a heroic fight from Gold.”
Be sure to check out the all new episode of Once Upon A Time, this tonight at 8:00 p.m. eastern on ABC.
