While the pair aren't even officially dating yet, the supermarket tabloids have been going absolutely crazy at the news that Sean Penn and ex-wife Madonna have been spotted hanging out together several times in recent weeks. According to the latest gossip news updates, the Mystic River Oscar winner is already considering marrying the Material Girl, despite his engagement to Charlize Theron not working out as well as he might have liked. Word has it that now that they are both in the 50s, Sean and Madonna are finally able to manage the intense feelings they've always had for one another.
They might have divorced nearly 30-years ago, but deep down inside Sean Penn and Madonna are rumored to have always had deep feeling for one another.
One source in the latest November issue of In Touch claims that, since they are both single again for the first time in a long time, Sean thought he had nothing to lose by letting Madonna know how he feels about her:
"He did some soul-searching. And he came to the conclusion the he still loves Madonna.
"He had the guts to tell her, send she felt the same. Madonna has matured so much, and she realized that she never stopped loving Sean."
According to the informant, Madonna has been telling those closest to her that she would even consider marrying Sean again, if her were to ask:
"Madonna said, 'You know those high school romances that are so fiery they can't work?...It was just too intense before,'"
As exciting as that all sounds, not everyone is quite prepared to buy into the hype just yet.
The supposed insider that Page Six wound up talking to insisted that there was no real way of knowing what was or wasn't coming out of all the time that Sean and Madonna have recently been spending together:
"It's much ado about nothing. They're friends.
"Who knows how close they really are after all these years?"
