The UCLA Bruins head to Stanford Stadium for tonight's game against (you guessed it) Stanford. The Bruins are currently ranked #18 and will be trying to boost that ranking up by beating out #15 Stanford. There is definitely a bit of rivalry going on as "The Cardinal have won seven straight against UCLA, including all four since Jim Mora took over as head coach prior to the 2012 season, but Shaw's not buying the winning streak counting for much." No doubt UCLA would really like to break this losing streak, and considering the ever changing nature of rosters in NCAA football, it should be an interesting game.
Stanford Cardinal have home-field advantage tonight. Kevin Hogan will be starting at QB, and he's definitely one of the best QB's on the field right now. As one sports analyst noted, "He's got a 6-1 TD-INT count and his 209 QB rating is 21 points higher than anyone else. All this statistical candy is backed up by what I've seen on film, and there were a number of plays that showed just how far Hogan's come in Stanford's 55-17 win over Arizona last Saturday night." The Cardinal are expected to win tonight's game, and that's based solely on analytics from people lest invested in this game. As a hardcore nerd myself, go Nerd Nation!
